The World Association of Marching Show Bands (WAMSB) is a distinguished international non-profit organization dedicated to helping bands from around the world
communicate and interact. Bands have the opportunity to compete in WAMSB-sanctioned regional events and the prestigious annual WAMSB World Championships. The event
locations illustrate the global scale of the organization — sanctions have been granted to host the Championship in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Italy,
Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Bands are encouraged to bring their cultural forms and styles to their performances. WAMSB events utilize a one-world judging system which allows groups of all styles to excel and receive feedback from the international panel of judges. The 2018 Championship will be held in Taipei, Taiwan. Marching units can perform in the street parade competition, preliminary field show competition, color guard competition, drum battle and the exciting finals competition. The 2019 World Championships will be held in Calgary, Canada. WAMSB Sanctioned Events Schedule
