Towering sculptures colored with dahlia blooms served as a testament to Dutch creativity during the annual "Corso Zundert."
Twenty magnificent floats — each covered with up to 500,000 flowers and rising up to three stories tall — presented unique interpretations of ideas with beautiful results.
The floats were built and decorated by neighborhood hamlets that carry on the community's deeply rooted tradition which began in 1936.
First prize went to "Dangerous Cargo" which featured a massive dragon that seemed to be alive thanks to 20 performers animating the creature from inside the float.
First place in the People's Choice voting went to "False Hope," a vibrant portrayal of The Frog Prince accompanied by a whimsical soundtrack.
High winds prevented two floats from traveling the parade route, but fortunately they could still be on display at the post-parade exhibit.
