2013 DCI World Championships Prelims Photos
(August 8, 2013, Indianapolis, Indiana) Standing ovations were a frequent reward for performers in 2013 as melody, emotion and crowd appeal were built into the programs of many corps. The Troopers' "Magnificent 11" and Santa Clara Vanguard's "Les Miserables" were notable favorites, as was the Madison Scouts' 75th Anniversary tribute which featured a segment where audience members rose to sing the corps song. Perhaps most of all, Carolina Crown's love story "E=mc2" was so musically and visually engaging that the crowd's ovations began even before the performance.
