(September 1, 2013, Zundert, Netherlands) Float designers experimented with new materials and effects, elevating the 2013 Bloemencorso Zundert (Zundert Flower Parade) to new heights of creativity. A float frozen in ice? A float that appears to deflate? Yes and yes!
First prize and People's Choice went to "Crazy Gold" which featured a gilded Aztec figure surrounded by dozens of animated components. A big risk paid off for "Global Warming" (fourth place) which was encased in ice to depict a man trapped in a glacier for thousands of years. "Inflatable" (sixth place) was also a success with its depiction of pool toys inflating and deflating along the route. All floats from the 2013 Zundert Flower Parade
