From a distance the floats are fantastic works of art; it's only up close that you notice the colors and patterns come
from carefully arranged carrots, grapes, peppers, strawberries, onions and every imaginable variety of fruit and vegetable.
The 49th Fruitcorso Tiel featured floats in three classes, a children's division, plus a creative display of mosaics along the riverbank.
First prize was awarded to "The Three Ladies" standing 20 feet tall in elaborate gowns. Second prize went to "The Last Stand" which
featured an army of costumed marchers. All of the floats from the 2009 Fruitcorso Tiel are pictured here in order
