Nashville Christmas Parade Logo The Nashville Christmas Parade has a rich history as one of the region's most prominent holiday parades. In 2016 the event implemented major enhancements and is becoming a top-tier parade with nationwide television coverage. Your marching band is invited to submit an application for this fun and exciting event. The 2018 Nashville Christmas Parade is set for Saturday, December 1, at 9:00 AM.

The all-new Nashville Christmas Parade includes celebrity performances, elaborate floats built by the Kern Company in New Orleans, helium balloons, mass performing groups featuring singers, dancers and choirs; and marching bands from multiple states. The parade route travels along the scenic "Musical Mile" and is flanked by hundreds of thousands of enthusiastic spectators anticipating the arrival of Santa Claus. The 1-mile route begins at the base of the Woodland Street Bridge near Nissan Stadium, proceeds down 2nd Avenue, continues up Broadway and ends near 7th Avenue just past Bridgestone Arena.

Celebrity musical performers in 2016 included Jo Dee Messina, Ty Herndon, Kree Harrison, Gavin DeGraw, Maddie and Tae, Julie Roberts, Aaron Tippin and more. The marching band lineup included the Tennessee State University Aristocrat of Bands, DeSoto Central H.S. (Southaven, Mississippi) and high school marching bands from across Tennessee. A celebration of the holidays and music in Music City provides a perfect experience for band students.

The Nashville Christmas Parade is produced by Piedmont Natural Gas in association with JM Best Entertainment Inc. benefiting the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
